Watch Audit Video

Energy advisor Vince Hughes walks homeowner Sheilah Doherty through her home’s comprehensive Home Energy Audit. Our short video highlights energy leaks found in Sheilah’s home and what she needs to upgrade in order to conserve her home’s energy.

If you decide to make home energy upgrades, take care in choosing a contractor. The Ministry of Consumer Services has useful advice and information to help you protect yourself and your home while living through renovations.

On January 30, 2012 the federal government announced that the ecoENERGY Retrofit – Homes program has successfully reached its goal of 250,000 registered homeowners as planned and is no longer accepting new registrations. Homeowners who have already registered may be eligible to receive federal rebates of up to $5,000 for improvements to make their homes more energy efficient. Please note that participation in the federal rebate program required a homeowner to register before entering the program. For more information, call 1-800-622-6232.

The Ontario Power Authority’s saveONenergy FOR HOMES program also offers a number of conservation incentives.
