Pre-Application Stage
1. Applicant conducts feasibility studies and other due diligence (may seek outside arrangements, including municipal support, to gain priority points)

Application Review
2. Applicant submits an application via their “MyFIT homepage”
3. IESO reviews application for completeness and eligibility
4. IESO ranks application by priority points and timestamp

Connection Screening
5. IESO and LDCs run Transmission Availability and Distribution Availability Tests (TAT/DAT) to determine FIT program connection availability
6. Projects pass TAT/DAT subject to procurement limits

Applicant Engages in environmental approval process and public consultations
7. IESO issues contracts to successful applicants
8. Applicant receives and executes contract
9. IESO executes and manages contract
10. Applicant obtains all applicable environmental approvals (e.g. REA, Class EA for waterpower, federal and provincial approvals)
11. Request Notice to Proceed (NTP)
12. Commercial Operation Date (COD)
